Why did you get involved in Pantene Beautiful Lengths?

I share Pantene's passion for women's health and was shocked to learn that 1 in 3 women will develop some form of cancer in her lifetime. For women facing cancer treatment, hair loss is the most feared side effect and some women may actually avoid treatment for fear of losing their hair. I've seen cancer devastate the lives of many people I know and love, which is why I'm cutting my hair in support of Pantene Beautiful Lengths.

Do you have a personal goal in being involved in this program?

Yes! Over the next year I would like to help Pantene inspire people across the country to grow stronger together and donate one million inches of hair. Were you nervous to cut 8 inches off of your long hair?

I was a little nervous because I haven't had short hair in a while. But then, when I thought about why I was donating and how my own hair was going to make a difference in another woman's life, it was a wonderful feeling. Besides, now I have cute new hair style!

How does it feel to know that your hair will help a woman with cancer?

It makes me feel so good to know that I was able to contribute such a personal part of myself to another woman. I smile every time I think that my ponytail could help to create a wig for someone who really needed it. This is what life is about—giving back.

What do you feel makes you shine?

When I'm with my family and friends, being my—self, joking around and being silly. I also love to help people; there is something so gratifying about giving to others who are in need, whether it be your time, money, an ear or shoulder-even your hair!
